This policy is written in compliance with the Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce ("E-commerce Act") and the Content Industry Promotion Act of Korea. This English translation is provided for convenience; in case of conflict, the Korean version (hanflowai.com/refund) prevails to the extent permitted by applicable law.
International payments: refunds for purchases made through international checkout are handled according to this policy. Where the payment gateway acts as merchant of record for the transaction, the refund may be executed through that gateway; you may in every case contact us at info@qmscience.net and we will process the refund on your behalf. Nothing in this policy limits mandatory consumer rights in your country of residence.
Article 1 (Scope)
This policy applies to paid transactions in HanFlow AI — subscription plans (Starter/Pro/Business/Enterprise, monthly or yearly) and credit top-up packs — and to paid transactions for HanFlow Bot (hanflowbot.com) (Article 6-2). The free plan, free-of-charge credits, and the HanFlow Bot free period are not refundable.
Article 2 (Withdrawal — Full Refund Within 7 Days, Unused)
- Refunds are issued only as a full refund of the payment. Partial refunds are not offered. In addition, only requests received within 7 days of payment are eligible (revised September 15, 2026).
- A full refund is provided if requested within 7 days of payment and none of the credits granted by that payment have been used.
- "Used" means one or more credits granted by the payment were deducted (including reserve/hold followed by settlement).
- How to request: in-service "Payment history → Request refund", or info@qmscience.net.
- The Company processes refunds within 3 business days; depending on the payment method, the card network or bank may take an additional 1–7 days.
Article 3 (Limits on Withdrawal)
Under Article 17(2) of the E-commerce Act, withdrawal may be limited in the following cases, which the Company discloses in advance on the checkout screen and in this policy:
- More than 7 days have passed since payment
- Digital content (AI output) has begun to be provided using the granted credits — withdrawal is limited for the used portion
- The account was suspended for a violation of the Terms (prohibited conduct)
However, where the cause is attributable to the Company (e.g., a service failure), the Company will consider a full refund under Article 7 to protect users' interests (partial refunds are not offered).
Article 4 (Cancelling a Monthly Subscription)
- Monthly subscriptions grant the month's credits in a lump sum at payment. After 7 days from the payment date, that month's payment is not refundable (revised September 15, 2026 — the former pro-rated credit refund is discontinued).
- Within 7 days and with none of the granted credits used, the payment is refunded in full under Article 2. Partial (pro-rated) refunds are not offered.
- When you cancel, already-granted credits remain usable until their validity ends (1 month) and no further payments are charged from the next billing date. You may cancel at any time.
Article 5 (Cancelling a Yearly Subscription)
- Yearly subscriptions charge a discounted annual fee once and grant 12 months of credits in a lump sum (valid 1 year).
- Within 7 days of payment and with none of the granted credits used, the payment is refunded in full under Article 2.
- After 7 days the payment is not refundable (revised September 15, 2026 — the former 30-day pro-rated refund and regular-price recalculation are discontinued). You may cancel at any time; after cancellation nothing is charged from the next renewal date and granted credits remain usable until they expire.
Article 6 (Credit Top-Up Packs)
- Top-up packs are refundable in full within 7 days of payment if unused (Article 2).
- If any credits have been used, or if 7 days have passed, the pack is not refundable (revised September 15, 2026 — the former pro-rated refund is discontinued). Remaining bonus credits are forfeited upon refund.
- Top-up credits are valid for 1 year; expired credits are not refundable.
Article 6-2 (HanFlow Bot Refunds)
- For HanFlow Bot subscriptions (base and work assistant modules, monthly or yearly) and Person Seat payments, a full refund of the payment is provided if requested within 7 days of payment. HanFlow Bot does not use credits, so the "credits unused" condition in Article 2(1) does not apply.
- Payments more than 7 days old are not refundable, and partial (pro-rated) refunds are not offered. You may cancel the subscription at any time; after cancellation you can keep using it until the end of the period already paid for, and nothing is charged from the next billing date.
- An amount charged separately for added Person Seats is also fully refunded if requested within 7 days of that charge, and the seat is withdrawn upon refund.
- Taxes shown on the payment screen and paid together with the purchase are returned together with the refund according to the payment provider's procedure.
- Refunds for perpetual licenses previously sold by the Company follow the conditions announced at the time of purchase.
- Article 7 (Refunds Attributable to the Company) also applies to HanFlow Bot.
- This Article does not limit consumer rights guaranteed by law — including withdrawal under Article 17(3) of the E-commerce Act (where the service was provided differently from its description or the contract) and mandatory rules such as termination and reimbursement of continuous transactions under the Door-to-Door Sales Act. Where such a right applies, the Company refunds as required by law.
- If a user who has paid cannot use the program because they do not agree to the EULA on the installation screen (Terms of Service Article 7-2(6)), the Company will, upon request, fully refund that payment even if more than 7 days have passed since payment.
Article 7 (Refunds Attributable to the Company)
In the following cases the payment is refunded in full, regardless of usage and regardless of the 7-day deadline in Article 2 (partial or pro-rated refunds are not offered):
- Continuous service outage of 24 hours or more
- A material defect in a core feature stated in the Terms that prevents normal use
- Unilateral termination of the Service by the Company
- Credits deducted for a failed or erroneous generation (the credits for that job are returned)
Article 8 (Non-Refundable Items)
- Free-plan usage
- Credits granted free of charge (sign-up, referral, promotions, events) and top-up bonus credits
- Credits that expired at the end of their validity period
- Items under a separate refund arrangement in an Enterprise contract (that arrangement prevails)
Article 9 (Refund Procedure)
- Request: in-service "Payment history → Request refund" (1:1 inquiry, "Refund" category) or info@qmscience.net — the request time is the time we receive it, and it must fall within 7 days of the payment date (it is fine if our processing finishes after those 7 days). However, requests under Article 7 (Refunds Attributable to the Company) and Article 6-2(8) (not agreeing to the EULA), and requests based on consumer rights guaranteed by law (withdrawal under Article 17(3) of the E-commerce Act, termination and reimbursement of continuous transactions under the Door-to-Door Sales Act, etc. — for both HanFlow AI and HanFlow Bot payments), may be made regardless of this 7-day limit, within the period set by those provisions and applicable law.
- Review: usage check and reply within 1–2 business days
- Processing: cancellation/refund executed within 3 business days of approval
- Arrival: card reversal (2–5 days) or bank transfer (1–3 days), depending on the payment method; international refunds follow the processing schedule of the payment gateway used
Article 10 (Dispute Resolution)
For refund disputes you may apply for mediation with the Korea Consumer Agency (1372, www.kca.go.kr) or the Electronic Documents & Transactions Dispute Mediation Committee (www.ecmc.or.kr). Mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence remain unaffected where they apply by law.
Addendum
- This policy took effect on May 25, 2026.
- Revised July 21, 2026: refund formulas rebased on credit ratios to match the current billing structure (plan names, lump-sum credit grants, top-up packs), and refund of credits for failed generations was codified.
- English version published July 22, 2026.
- Revised August 6, 2026: the international-payment and refund-timing provisions no longer name a specific gateway. Refund requests are accepted at info@qmscience.net regardless of the gateway used.
- Revised September 15, 2026 (a change unfavourable to users): (i) partial (pro-rated) refunds are discontinued — refunds are issued only as a full refund of the payment; (ii) refund requests are limited to those received within 7 days of the payment date (the mid-term pro-rated refunds in Articles 4 and 5 and the partial-use refund in Article 6(2) are discontinued); (iii) refunds attributable to the Company under Article 7 remain available regardless of the deadline; (iv) as an unfavourable change the Company gives prior notice of it, and payments made before the effective date keep the previous refund deadline (no 7-day limit); where a pro-rated amount would have been due under the previous policy, the Company handles it individually; (v) mandatory consumer rights under applicable law (withdrawal under the E-commerce Act, termination and refund for continuing transactions under the Door-to-Door Sales Act, and equivalent rules in your country of residence) are not limited by this revision.
- Revised October 25, 2026: paid transactions for the PC AI bot program HanFlow Bot (hanflowbot.com) are now covered (Article 1); Article 6-2 has been newly established to set out its refund rules and the reservation of statutory rights; and the wording in Article 3(1) that referred to the already-discontinued mid-term cancellation refunds has been deleted. As there were no paying HanFlow Bot users at the time of this revision, it applies from the date of posting.
